For years and years I've been confounded as to why people put up with inferior technology. Yes, I'm referring to the Mac vs PC thing. For the longest time, the obvious answer was price. But that hasn't been the case for at least 5-6 years. Today, you'd be hard pressed to get a PC as good a value as a Mac. By the time you factor in all the equivalent features of a Mac at the Dell shop, you often find that the Dell is far more expensive than an equivalent Macintosh. And then there is the case for putting up with viruses and spyware - none of which occurs on Mac OS X (now a five year old system).
This Friday Apple will unleash Tiger, the major release of OS X that already leaps far ahead of 'Longhorn', which is not due out till Dec 2006. If you are a PC user, you'll need new hardware (yes, a brand new PC) in order to run that version of Windows in 2007. Why not instead get a Mac?
Have the best of both worlds. Keep your old PC in one corner, a modern Mac for the future in the other. You can network them wirelessly. Soon, you'll find the PC useful for running the latest games, the Mac useful for doing real work on.

"There is no creator" - the Dalai Lama. These are words of common sense, and it tells me that "spirituality" has nothing in particular to do with a belief in the supernatural. But then, those of us who grew up in the seventies watching "Kung Fu" already knew that being a vegan, atheist who follows the path of the buddha can reach enlightenment.
All kidding aside, what does a vegetarian atheist have to say? Stick around and you'll find out! Politically I'm rather liberal, but I do like to listen to staunch conservative talk show host Michael (the 'Whiner') Savage so I'll probably be mentioning him from time to time in my weblogs. So for now, how about some talk of broccoli, carrots and peas? Recipe's anyone??

"As mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality."
