Permalink Why even bother talk about Iraq?

Today we could talk about the 20+ soldiers blown up by a suicide bomber while they ate their lunch, but why bother? The American people voted loud and clear, to continue the path we were on. More of the same, keep the status quo.

It is pointless to talk about Iraq any more. The American public will tolerate any amount of damage, any amount of casualties, so lets not beat a dead horse.

Four more years of the same.

Happy new one.

I saw a woman on TV, part of a group dedicated to sending food/supplies to the troops. She said "none of us knew they would still be there this long." What an ignorant fool. Did she forget, or did she just ignore, all the protesters in the streets three years ago? We all knew the troops would be there 'for years to come'.

But that was then, and this is now. No more talk. Just sit back, and wish for the best.

That has been- for me- one of the most frustrating aspects of this war: the people who say "We didn't know it was going to take this long. We didn't know it was going to be this bad!"

Give me a break. If they had stopped to think for even two seconds they should have been able to figure it out on their own.
