Permalink Joanna Terpstra - we can do better

Joanna is very annoyed that Bush seems to have a mandate for killing people who had nothing to do with 9/11. She points out that we've spent $143 Billion and killed 100,000 Iraqis.

Bush obviously does not know what he is doing. Considering the tobacco industry kills 400,000 Americans each year, all we have to do is give free cigarettes to Iraq. In one year, we'd kill four times the people for less than one tenth the price.

Am I a genius or what?!

That's the worst bit of economic rationalism I've ever heard!

But it makes me wonder...how many people who think suicide is a crime smoke? It's a very slow and painful suicide, but suicide nonetheless. Come to think of it, how many pro-lifers smoke? (I wouldn't mind some statistics.)

Oh, OK, you ARE a genius! But then most Capricorns I know are good at figures.
