Permalink Why do people believe in Bush?

Destined to be "the worlds first lame duck leader of the free world"?The only thing to fear, is fear itself
It appears that the motivating force for people to believe in Bush is fear. His administration has recognised this for a very long time, and has used it to their advantage. Especially with the colour coding alerts. This week, Dick Cheney told the crowds that a vote for Kerry is a vote for more attacks on the nation.

So why do people think Bush can protect them? The decision to attack Afganistan was a no-brainer. It didn't matter who was president, we would have gone after al Qaeda no matter what. Even Iraq was a bi-partisan decision, based on the rhetoric of the time, people blindly followed the President, and that includes Kerry. Only later, did Democrats, and some Republicans, come to the decision that it was wrong to invade Iraq when it was proved that the intelligence was wrong.

So why do people give all the credit to Bush?

The Republicans could not keep out protesters from infiltrating their RNC, and yet they are supposed to be expected to keep out terrorists? Give me a break. Give me a kitkat!
