Permalink Reality Check for 9/11

I wish we were fighting another kind of war

9/11 tribute in lights

Since the day 2,973 people were murdered by al Qaeda terrorists, 1,200,000 Americans have died from the tobacco industry. That is the equivalent of 3 jumbo jets crashing everyday of the year.

And this drug trade is legally exported to many countries in the world.

"1,200,000 Americans have died from the tobacco industry"

It's really an amazing number, considering how much awareness has been out there in the past 10 or so years.

I wonder. Isn't this a good indication of what things would be like if we legalized marijuana?

I hear marijuana is better than using alcohol, less side effects, and you don't get incapacitated as you do when drunk. Besides, if it were legal, less people would probably use it than today!
