It's so obvious that Kerry won this debate. Bush looked weak, something our governor would call a 'gurly man'. Kerry showed that he had a vast depth and knowledge of the issues, whereas Bush seemed to run out of content half way through the debate, and he had nothing much to contribute. At times Bush looked frustrated, bewildered, or not knowing what to say after Kerry pounded out straight forward facts, and did so while maintaining a cool demeanor.
Most quick polls show Kerry won by a landslide. Does this mean it will change peoples opinion? Its doubtful for the majority, who seem to have made up their minds one way or the other, but for at least 15% of the undecided, Kerry has a chance to win them over, especially since he appeared to be more presidential.
George Bush has a record of failure to defend, and he failed to defend it.
UPDATE: The Clothes have no Emperor!
Bush lost debate 60% to 29% among Independants President Bush's extremely bad exhibition last night will probably go down in history as the poorest performance in Presidential Debates, even far worse than Nixon vs Kennedy. According to a Gallup Poll, independants choose Kerry in a large two to one margin. Men and women expressed virtually identical views in favor of Kerry. Among Republicans, 17% said Kerry won. Republican friends of mine (yes, I have some), who were tepid in their support of George W. Bush, have now been swayed to support John Kerry. Welcome to the club!

"There is no creator" - the Dalai Lama. These are words of common sense, and it tells me that "spirituality" has nothing in particular to do with a belief in the supernatural. But then, those of us who grew up in the seventies watching "Kung Fu" already knew that being a vegan, atheist who follows the path of the buddha can reach enlightenment.
All kidding aside, what does a vegetarian atheist have to say? Stick around and you'll find out! Politically I'm rather liberal, but I do like to listen to staunch conservative talk show host Michael (the 'Whiner') Savage so I'll probably be mentioning him from time to time in my weblogs. So for now, how about some talk of broccoli, carrots and peas? Recipe's anyone??

"As mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality."
