If John Kerry stood up at the DNC and said the war on terror could not be won, he would have been crucified by his Republican opponents. But yesterday, as the RNC was getting started, President Bush said the war on terror could not be won.
It's an amazing flip flop, but of course, I agree with his assessment. He should have been honest in the beginning. To say that we can win this war is like saying we can win the war on drugs, or that we can wipe out prostitution for good.
Sadly, Bush doesn't know how to protect America. The President needs to protect all ports and secure every chemical and nuclear plant in the country. Each one is a ticking time bomb. Kerry says he will do this. Bush hasn't mentioned it once and money for Homeland Security seems to be non-existant. Bush's policy of "taking the war to the enemy" is actually an al Qaeda recruitment policy, there is every indication that al Qaeda is hoping Bush gets re-elected.

"There is no creator" - the Dalai Lama. These are words of common sense, and it tells me that "spirituality" has nothing in particular to do with a belief in the supernatural. But then, those of us who grew up in the seventies watching "Kung Fu" already knew that being a vegan, atheist who follows the path of the buddha can reach enlightenment.
All kidding aside, what does a vegetarian atheist have to say? Stick around and you'll find out! Politically I'm rather liberal, but I do like to listen to staunch conservative talk show host Michael (the 'Whiner') Savage so I'll probably be mentioning him from time to time in my weblogs. So for now, how about some talk of broccoli, carrots and peas? Recipe's anyone??

"As mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality."
