Technologically, Windows can't keep up with Mac OS Originally due in Summer 2004, Longhorn ditches a main component to make a late 2006 debut:
Microsoft is to ditch key parts from the next version of its Windows software to keep its schedule on track.
The software giant said it still aims to release Longhorn, as the new version of Windows is codenamed, in late 2006.
But to do so it will drop a redesign of the operating system's structure dubbed WinFS, which could have made it much easier for users to find information.
So let me get this straight. It will have taken Microsoft five years to build this OS, the same amount of time it took Apple to build Mac OS X (1995-2000).
I would have thought that MS, with ten times more money, twenty times more engineers, and with far less research and development costs (afterall, they are only duplicating the Mac OS) should be at least five times faster at development as tiny Apple.
Maybe Windows is so bloated, it is crumbling under its own weight.
Analysts expect minimum requirements to start with a 4GHz CPU and 1GB of RAM, built-in wireless networking, and a DirectX 9-capable 3D accelerator with at least 128MB of RAM. But the recommended system could be far more powerful; either way, the requirements will likely exceed the capabilities of any PC system that's available today.

"There is no creator" - the Dalai Lama. These are words of common sense, and it tells me that "spirituality" has nothing in particular to do with a belief in the supernatural. But then, those of us who grew up in the seventies watching "Kung Fu" already knew that being a vegan, atheist who follows the path of the buddha can reach enlightenment.
All kidding aside, what does a vegetarian atheist have to say? Stick around and you'll find out! Politically I'm rather liberal, but I do like to listen to staunch conservative talk show host Michael (the 'Whiner') Savage so I'll probably be mentioning him from time to time in my weblogs. So for now, how about some talk of broccoli, carrots and peas? Recipe's anyone??

"As mankind becomes more liberal, they will be more apt to allow that all those who conduct themselves as worthy members of the community are equally entitled to the protections of civil government. I hope ever to see America among the foremost nations of justice and liberality."
