For a period that spanned three months in 1999, I worked as a Internet Technologist at the Gorilla Foundation, home of Koko the Gorilla. When arriving, I would have to look away from her and her companions, Michael and Ndume, as gorillas are very shy and can get upset if they think they are being watched. They use to wonder who I was. How do gorillas in the zoo put up with it?
Today she is in the news, for asking to see a dentist.
