Permalink Star Fruit

Star Fruit is the strangest fruit I've ever seen. From which planet did it come? It is popular in China, and can be found in your local asian food market.Texture wise, it is like a pear, but if you were to juice it, the flavour would be something like a cross between an Apple and Kiwi diluted with perhaps 40% water.

Whoever took those photographs of the Starfruit and/or cut the fruit in such succulent ways is a truly talented visual artist.

Further, it is always lovely to see "new" and exciting things to eat when one is a veggie. The Starfruit is too beautiful to eat, however. And that's my comment for this Vegblog.

oooohh... those pictures make me miss star fruit.. It was my favorite when I was a little girl, but I haven't had it for years and years. I've got to keep my eyes out for that stuff!
